Easy to make decorative bobby pins

Hello everyone, hope you had a wonderful holiday season full of lots of love, family, friends, food & drinks. Now that the reality of life has set in again it's time for fun easy project. The other day on my way to work on the train I noticed these little girls with the cutest bobby pins holding their hair back. Of course the next thought in my mind was i want to make some :) Since i have so much miscellaneous items in my room, i knew it was a matter of finding what works...I hope you love & enjoy

You will need:
*bobby pins
*nail polish (i used 4 colors: white, yellow, purple & red)
*clear topcoat
*glitter
*piece of cardboard or construction paper folded in 3
*plastic bag or some sort of protector for your table

Start by arranging the bobby pins on your piece of cardboard or paper. I happen to have 8 different colored glitters & I decided to make 6 of each color so I grouped together how I'm going to paint them.

Apply a decent coat of colored polish on the bobby pins. It is easier for you to paint all the ones you are doing of 1 color at the same time. Quickly sprinkle on glitter while its wet. Separate the pins as soon as you put the glitter on.

Then you want to seal it all with a clear polish. Start by sealing them in order by color, lightest to darkest so you have minor color transfer.

I wanted to use the minimum amount of polish color so I used the white to really make the color pop, you can use coordinating colors if you want. I used white on the white, assorted, blue & green glitters & coordinated the purple, red & gold polishes with the glitter.

These are great for girls involved in sports or dance to dress it up a bit. You can also get the blond or white bobby pins and just use clear and add glitter. Also, use the light ones to paint in just solid colors & use the polish to add polka dots or any other fun design.
